Nine privacy policy
Nine is a sudoku game for iPhone and iPad. It collects no data. This page explains what that means in practice.
The short version
Nine never connects to the internet. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no push notifications. Nothing you do in the app is ever sent to the developer or to anyone else. There is no server to send it to.
What the app stores, and where
Nine keeps a small amount of information on your device so that the game works:
- Your in-progress puzzles, including pencil marks, elapsed time, and hints used, so you can pick up where you left off.
- Your play history, from which the app derives local statistics such as puzzles completed, best times, and your daily streak.
- Your settings: theme, tile pack, assistance toggles, timer visibility, and haptics.
All of this lives in the app's own storage on your iPhone or iPad. It is not synced, uploaded, or shared. It may be included in your normal device backup to iCloud or your computer, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not this one.
You can erase it at any time. Settings offers Clear saved games and Reset everything, and deleting the app removes all of its data.
Network access
None. The complete puzzle bank ships inside the app, so Nine works fully with no connection from the moment it is installed, and it makes no network requests of any kind.
Third parties
Nine includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting software. The only third-party code in the app is an open-source local database library that stores data on your device. It does not communicate with any server.
Tracking and identifiers
Nine does not access the advertising identifier, does not ask for tracking permission, and does not fingerprint your device. It requests no system permissions: no camera, no photos, no location, no contacts, no notifications.
App Store privacy label
Nine's App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected. This describes every part of the app, including any bundled library, and it is audited before each release.
Children
Nine includes a Junior tier designed for children learning the game. Because the app collects no information from anyone, it collects none from children either. It shows no ads and offers no purchases.
Changes and contact
If this policy ever changes, the date above will change with it. Because the app has no network access, the only way a change could take effect is through an app update. Questions: support@cmdv.dev.
